Giv2 automatically sends a donation receipt when a donation is made.
Every time someone completes a transaction using Giv2, they receive a receipt.
It will be sent to email address they used when they created their Giv2 donor profile and should arrive within a few minutes.
There are two types of transactions people can make through Giv2 - so there are two types of receipts they could receive.
Transaction & Receipt types:
Donation receipts are IRD compliant receipts enabling the donor to claim their tax rebate. This is when you are asking purely for donations.
Contribution (or standard) receipts are a simpler receipt, which just confirms the transaction. This is a way to let your supporters pay cashless-ly and contactless-ly (yes, we making up words too) for the sausage sizzle, raffle ticket, event entry, merchandise etc.
Setting up different Giv2-QR code types:
When setting up your Giv2 QR code, the "type" of QR code it is needs to be selected. This is then set in stone to ensure integrity of the receipts and future reporting. If you need one or some of either type, get in touch so we can set up your Giv2-QR code correctly.
Add a custom message
On our Silver and above subscription packages you can add your own custom message for donors onto the receipt emailed they get. This is a great way to thank them, give them more information about you, or ask them for something. Talk to us if you want to know more.
